About Rev. David Hull-Frye, CPT

Pastor at Grandview United Methodist Church | Community Organizer | Fitness Advocate

Welcome & Vision

My vision for ministry centers on building an Intergenerational, Multicultural Christian Faith Community. True community happens when we bridge cultural divides, nurture all generations, and actively partner with local neighborhoods and businesses to create shared flourishing.

Currently, I pastor a vibrant multicultural congregation at Grandview UMC, which houses three distinct worshiping communities.

Ministry, Leadership & Social Justice

Current Leadership: Pastor at Grandview United Methodist Church (Cuyahoga Falls, OH).
Peace & Justice Award: Recipient of the 2023 East Ohio MFSA Bishop Thomas Leadership Award, recognized for ongoing dedication to peace and community justice work.
Refugee Resettlement: Spent a year following 9/11 resettling Bosnian and Sudanese refugees in Sioux Falls, South Dakota—a experience deeply rooted in my upbringing in a racially and culturally diverse Cleveland neighborhood.
Multicultural Advocacy: Attended the Mosaix Conference on church diversity and served on the East Ohio United Methodist Multi-Cultural Vitality Board.

Curricula & Community Initiatives

I have authored and developed practical framework tools designed to help congregations grow and serve outward:

Bridging the Culture Gap: A curriculum focused on understanding, engaging, and honoring the diverse cultures surrounding our churches.
Church-Community Partnerships: A guide equipping churches to build sustained, high-impact community partnerships.
Church & Business Partnerships: A framework examining how faith communities and local business leaders can collaborate for neighborhood vitality.
